What I speak on

Data sovereignty for South African financial services

What sovereignty actually means once you get past the buzzword, why POPIA and cross-border transfer rules make it an architecture question rather than a legal checkbox, and what a sovereign-by-default system looks like in practice.

What AI actually costs a regulated business

The true cost of adopting AI inside a regulated institution rarely shows up on the procurement line. A practical look at where the real cost hides — compliance review, data residency, vendor lock-in — and how to price it honestly before you commit.

The middle management trap

Why engineering middle management quietly loses the context it exists to hold, and the three habits that keep judgement from evaporating every time someone changes teams.

Building RegTech in an emerging market

Lessons from building LedgerAI for South African financial services clients: designing for a regulator that is still writing the rulebook, and shipping compliance tooling that has to be trusted, not just tested.
